Hey everyone,

Im looking to get either a CAI or a WAI. But the main thing im going for is better gas mileage. Any input would be great. Thanks.

cold air would get more air in to the car causing better gas milage.. i have a warm air kinda.. im not patient enough to rip out the rest of the plastic that was connected to the intake box

A simple explanation ......

Warm air is less dense and has fewer oxygen molecules per square inch (or whatever measurement you want to use) to promote combustion.

Cold air is denser and therefore has more oxygen molecules which promotes better combustion. Without other engine modifications, this gives only a slight increase in power and torque.

But, even a slight increase in power & torque is good for a slight increase in mpg. :)

Awesome.. thank you very much everyone. Looking forward to doing something a little easier to my car. I just stepped inside bc baggin my alero is kickin my ass right now. Its like 300 degrees in my garage, and I need 3 more fittings since the ones I bought earlier today werent compression fittings. Now I have to wait for my buddy to get here and we have to do 90 MPH to get to Showcase Customs
