that is nice i would consider it. I like the fact that the receiver is seperate from the unit so if your in a no detector state its undetecable. an over head map pocket gage pod would be noce for this HMMM? ;)

If you're planning on getting it cause you wanna go 100+ mph please save a life and DON'T get it.

If you just want it to know in general then go right ahead, pretty nice one.

Boo you, I go 100+ all the time, for all you people who wine about street racing, thats like going and buying a supra and driveing +5 everyday, where is the fun in that, I don't know about you, but I thrive off speed, and I want more, + I have full control of my car, I have been completely sideways and recovered going 80+

So maybe you don't feel comfortable going that fast, or maybe you feel like its dangerous to everyone else on the road, but I tell you from experience, 90% of street racing accidents occur because something like a minivan or something switches lanes in front of you randomly. Its not the racers (normally) who cause the accidents.

For saying that, you are now declared a complete fucking idiot.

Speed is retarded, acceleration is what's fun. I want a Supra not to go 180+ MPH on public roads like a moron, but for the ACCELERATION. Going fast at a constant or slowly rising speed is just like driving at any slow speed, but with less time to visualize and properly navigate a situation. There's no reason to go 100 on public roads, less time to react, more opportunities to die. What you do affects others on the road (Oh but there's no one else on the road when I do it, right). What do you expect to do when you hit a pothole or have a BLOWOUT at that speed? You have been completely sideways and recovered at 80MPH based on many variable conditions. Next time you might not.

You have "full control of your vehicle" eh? Go hit a patch of ice sometime and navigate through some cones autocross style. Control is dictated by environmental factors and your vehicles mechanical ability, you cannot plainly say you are always in control.

Oh, so a minivan changes lanes legally at the regulated speed and since YOU'RE FUCKING RACING FLYING UP ON THEM AND YOU HIT THEM it's their fault. You definitely didn't do anything wrong at all. What were they doing going the speed limit?

You do NOT have full control over your vehicle if you cannot stop or avoid a collision situation while moving.

And on-topic, a gauge pod mounted radar detector is pretty badass, though the one they sell looks pretty gay. I might custom make a remote display like that eventually. For now, mine is mounted sideways on the passenger side of the console where all you see is the display from the driver's seat.

wow... great way to get yourself warning/banned, you tool. I hope you get your license revoked.

There were just 2 18yr olds killed in a mustang that they determined was street racing. They don't know how or why, but it was completely wrapped around a telephone pole w/ them still in it (or at least, the majority of them) Last time i checked, regardless of what speed I may be going, my car won't wrap around anything, it might bend a little, but thats it.

Oh! btw. The kid he was racing was pointed out by witnesses, and he won't be driving anytime soon, and now gets to live with the fact that he was an accomplice in killing the other 2 kids. NICE.

you are a complete idiot street racing is not aloud here.

here i will point it out for you :

8. Street Racing Stories-
Aleromod.com does not condone or encourage street racing. Illegal street races are dangerous to yourselves and all the innocent bystanders you come in contact with. We have seen that posting street race stories leads to unnecessary debating and flame wars.

I have two kids and a mini van and if a street racer hit and hurt (god forbid killed) my kids I would strangle the life out of them and spend the rest of my life in jail.

so before you get your self in any deeper read this :

Ok, I'm going to actually make this post public. Normally, we will suspend a member and keep it private. But in this case, I think a public talking is necessary.

I hope that most of you can see the absolute irresponsibility that this poster shows. Street racing is dangerous not only to you, but to everybody else on the road. If you're driving 100+ mph, and the people around you are driving 55, they may not even see you coming up on them. And I'm willing to bet that it is you who are changing lanes every 2 seconds to avoid cars. If anybody does anything unexpected, you will not have time enough to react. And your collisions will be that much more serious because of the speed. You will lose control and hurt and/or kill innocent people.

I hope you heed this warning, though I doubt you will. Drive safely and obey the law. Drive fast at the track.

I really didn't mean to offend anyone, and we normally race on an empty Road out in the country, there are no side entrances and its perfectly flat. I agree with what you mean, I enjoy acceleration more than speed, not speed, but thanks for not banning me, I didn't mean to offend anyone, and No I don't really speed that much over on public streets, normally unless I'm late but thats more speeding than racing.

and no I don't try to look cool I am cool :p

I did a huge article on racing and how it has evolved, and it was proven that the majority of accidents occured from unexpected occuranced, not them loseing control from speed related factors.

I think we can all agree that we would rather not hear about some teenager in Indiana losing control of his car and what not and finding out it was you...

so yeah, please keep racing on the track where it belongs.

Right, which is why good drivers "expect the unexpected." You must have a plan to use for any situation that arises. It is still "speed related factors" because:

higher velocity = lower time to react

Higher speed, higher risk. All there is to it.

This has got to be the most ignorant and post I've ever read on aleromod...if you idiots weren't racing in the first place then there would be no wreck..wtf? That doesn't even make sense anyway... like saying it wasn't the gun and person pulling the trigger who killed him but the bullet and the gunpowder instead (normally)..

you're a pro

i never had a crash in the 3+ years i've driven until some bitch screwed that up. even if you were a "good driver" all it takes is someone else to plow into you from absolutely nowhere

and just because you never got a ticket doesn't mean you never did anything wrong
