well car's running like absolute crap and I know whats wrong but not the name of a part. Its something to do with the vaccume system and it has a big crack in it which is allowing a loss of suction.

anyway, here's a pic of the part i need identified and how my car was running until i did a quick fix with some masking tape.

noo...it only the black 90 degree bend thingy. the valve itself is perfectly fine, its just that connector thats cracked.

haha. well i've been to murray's, advance auto parts, and pep boys. all 3 said that i'll have to go to the dealership to get the part. i really wish i didn't have to because the dealerships rape their customers when it comes to parts. i bet its gonna run me nearly $20 just for that little peice of rubber.

You might be able to get something else.

It won't be stock, but it will work. Maybe a little piece of hose or something.

I had a vacuum tee on the front bottom left of the UIM break. It just rotted away and split. GM doesn't even stock the part  Just got a vacuum tee to replace it.

Just an idea ;)

You could always try a wrecker's yard. Just look for any vehicle that has that engine in it.

I used a piece of flexible vacuum hose slid over both ends of the pcv hose and valve of the proper size. Any place will carry it.

Mine did the samething about 3 months ago, had to get it from the dealer, it was like 9 bucks.

I also wraped the elbow with electrical tape so I could get the dealer, worked pretty damn good.

any pcv hose should work off any 3400 or 3100
