Ya look at how awesome his intake is, it's a piece of dryer vent tubing. He has a custom plate that brags 200FWHP which is NOTHING to brag about, and he only makes like 160 LOL. I'm at work so I can't click the link but I'm pretty sure this is the spider guy.

Yeah it's spider guy.
Good work with the powercoating, but the filter where the oil cap goes is a problem. Oil will spray out eventually and would lower the oil pressure in the engine and cause problems.
Intake, Home Depot Speical. It works, but it doesn't work as well as an actuall intake. ;)
BTW that Alero isn't putting out 200 at the wheels. Jackel and I are the only NA guys that I know of that close or at that mark ;)

He put up a dyno video and made about 162WHP.

that filter has a purpose. its kinda like an intake for your oil, its the cheap route to the oil cooler. its supose to filter the engine bay air and send it to the oil to keep it cooler during opperation, used on a lot of older engines but is universal. I don't think it would give much of a benifit to a moderatly upgraded 3400 though.

You're thinking of breather filters, not to replace the oil cap.
This was done on older cars that had a breather on the valve cover with a tube going to the air cleaner, usually the other side had a PCV valve.
Not really a goog idea to pull out a PCV valve and put a filter like that in it's place either. It has something to do with emissions

Ya, things are set up to re-route to the intake for a reason, POSITIVE crankcase ventilation, PCV, not atmospheric ventilation.

^I wish I could see the video, because if it's spidercar, he has a LOT more to fix than just the stickers.

I hate his gauges.
But, Home Depot CAI? Gotta love it.
