View Full Version : Asking Price?

What would be a fair asking price for my Alero? It's an 01, 2dr GLS, 3400, fully loaded, sunroof, spoiler, Gold Package, 4 brand new Kuhmo Ecsta AST's, and just over 81k miles on it. It does have a bad LIMG right now, but I refuse to sell it until I fix that. It has a new belt, a Panasonic CQ-8303U HU (color).

The bad: It has a few small discolorations on the carpet.
It has three matching polished wheels (flat six spoke), the other is a polished narrow spoke rim. A few very small scratches in the paint that could be buffed out. Needs a driver's side window regulator. Leather doesn't look the best but you couldn't tell it by sitting in the seats.

It runs and drives great, it's just that the whole 2dr thing isn't working out for me.

Here's a few older pictures to see the car: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e94/SCbassboy/000_2832.jpg

My 2001 3400 was priced @ $3800, but it has 180,000 + miles, so maybe like $5000for urs at least.- just due to the rims and the scratches... and the reg.... of course the regulators are cheap to replace, so you could do that before you sell it too..
Check Bluebook too!

I don't think I'd be posting pics that make it look like it has a leak if I were trying to sell it.

I just sold my 2000 2 door with 92000 miles with a busted window regulator for $2500. You probably not going to get much for it.

trade in is ~$5,250.00 and clean retail ~$6,800, give or take $200. but thats just what my Credit union says.

You'll probably get about 2800 to 3200 for it. I would start at 3500 and work my way down.

I would go to kelly blue book and work off of that. I did that for my 2001 gls and got a great price for it. It shows private part, trade in and retail dealer prices. It also takes into account the area you live in as Prices can vary depending on where you live. You probably won't get the high price for the condition but it gives you a price range to work with.

OK thanks. BTW I had the car ready to take the pic and the second before I snapped it, the AC let loose. Right now, I'm halfway done with the LIMG (made sure i got the metal one!)
