This ma question
for how many miles are the sparkplugs good for?
some people say that they are good for 100000 miles or 4 years...

It heavily depends on how well your engine is tuned. For a stock vehicle, even with platinum or iridium plugs, I personally wouldn't go much over 60,000 miles.

*** Note: If your engine is running excessively rich or is burning oil, amonst other things, you can foul out a set of plugs in under 1000 miles.

i changed mine at 95 K and they were pretty much whooped. anyhow, i think 100K is pretty accurate.

I change mine a lot, but then again, I'm in it for the performance, not for "how long can you go before something goes wrong" lol

I changed mine somewhere around 80,000 miles I think... I don't remember exactly... but mine were shot as well. I ended up needing new wires too as when removing the old ones, a couple of them just fell apart. lol

I put in Bosch +4's at 30K and it was a BIG mistake. I then put in ACDelcos at 59K and changed them last year after the number 3 plug blew out of the head. I didn't put them in, another FUBAR job by my mech's assn after I bought new heads for the car :rolleyes2:
