11th Annual NHRA NOPI DRAG SPRING NATIONALS

Getting ready to drive down to Raceway Park (Englishtown, NJ) for the Nats this morning.

Winner gets $300. Runner-up gets $100.
HOWEVER, they're charging $65 to race!!!! That's more than Street or Heavy on a normal Sunday Points Race!!!! And there's only 2 bracket classes today instead of the usual 3:

14.99 & Faster
BRACKET 15
15.00 & Slower

Time shot @ 10, eliminations for all classes @ noon. Finals for all classes @ 5pm.

Change of plans. Never ended up going down. Was looking at all of the work I have to do for my office and decided that it was better for me to stay home and work on my papers than sit at the track dealing with retards in their Hondas.

Good thing, too, because I ended up working most of the day into the evening on the stuff and still didn't finish.

And with me travelling on business most of this week, it also gave me a chance for a little more time with the g/f (she hung out watching tv with me while I worked).

Nobody else was going (again) and it wasn't a Points race so I stayed home and worked until 10:15pm on my laptop. It's not like you were going to get off your scrawny little ass and show up anyway. Right?

Baring illness (make that MAJOR ILLNESS - I once raced an entire Points Day with Pneumonia) or severe injury, I will indeed be at every other race I posted on my original schedule here earlier this year. You can count on that. (Even if the rest of you promise to show and don't end up showing up)
