Remove the muffler?

Hey I have a magnaflow exhaust system installed on my 2.4 but i was thinking, would it sound bad if i took off the muffler and ran from the cat to the tips? Also would i lose backpressure?

Yeah and it would sound terrible, i fired mine up before we got the new one on and it sounded like compleate and total ass.

terribly loud and terrible aren't necessarily the same thing. Muscle cars are terribly loud, BUT they sound good!
