iat symptoms

what symptoms could be a possible bad iat sensor? if you dont have a ses light on what could be somethings to look for that might be a bad iat? any one have own expirence with this?

Mine makes it shift really really hard when it isnt plugged in.

the trans will irregularly shift the engine will surge.....rpms will be rough and "jumpy"

ive got a rough idle no ses light trans seems to shift ok tho but i had a post going about the rough idle alot of people said try the iat guess its a common problem easily to overlook? i just always thought any kind of sensor is fine unless u have a ses light but the parts so cheap maybe i should just try to see if a new iat would help?

youll know if your tranny is shifting hard, if you go from N to D your whole car jumps even if your at idle, its because when your IAT sensor is bad, it is telling the tranny the wrong temperature, and in most cases it tells the tranny to shift hard because it is reading at some rediculous temp of like -44, thats why the tranny would shift hard then your IAT sensor is bad.
