hey everybody long time no see im having problems with the ho obv. im wondering if anyones thrown an egr code and did you just replace it car shuts down accelerating..and also the worst part my car is loerd and when i hit pot holes is just shuts down no miss fire just shuts down and its getting dangerous est. on the highway i have to throw it into N and restart andbody hadthis problem loose connection or what? looks like the ho is dieing with 230 000km

Did you replace it? I think it's right on top of the motor so it's not too hard to do.

Never heard of the car shuting down becuase of a bad EGR, unless yours is really bad

You most definitely have to replace it if you get a Range/Performance code.

it will probably take you all of 2 minutes to replace. it sits right by the brake fluid resevoir. it does require 2 gaskets, but if they arent in bad shape i wouldnt worry about it. i dont think there are any torque specs on the bolts either.

i had no idea the egr valve was so expensive. i just looked it up on autozone.com and its listed @ $253.99. the egr delete is cheaper (around $130 + shipping for the delete kit and the new pcm) and is permanent so i would recommend that route.

Tighten the nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb. ft.).

or you just cut a little piece of aluminum to cover the manifold after you saw it off for about $10
