Before I installed the head I wanted to port n' polish the ho. I only ported and polished a bit on the exhaust side and just polished the intake ports. Not quite done yet still need to do the area where the valve sits, so im doing that by hand.

Now next thing on the list is a new set of secret cams and some other little stuff like a new waterpump, timing chain tensioner, timing chain guides, and some other stuff then it should be up and running

are you doing this on your own?

Are you 100% positive that you will have taken out the exact amount from each port?

I didnt port the intake, I just polished it. However I did port the exhaust just barely a bit and polished it.

Do not polish the intake port. This needs to be rough so the fuel doesn't puddle off the wall.

It's not so it doesn't puddle, it's usually left slightly more rough to help get a better air/fuel mixture. With the spray patterns of modern fuel injectors, it's not really a huge deal anymore. It was mainly done on the older carbureted engines that draw in fuel instead of spray a fine mist like fuel injected engines.
