Ok, I know I asked this question a while back, but I cant remember the responses. Will this Dynatech High Flow Cat work on a 3400 Alero. It DOES NOT say it is ODB 2 compliant!

So, It would throw a bunch of codes if I got it installed right? HOW could I install it then, would I need a O2 sensor??????

Thanks guys:)

here is the CAT

that cat is a ripoff. just get something like this and have the exhaust guy weld a bung on for the down stream O2 sensor. shouldnt throw any codes that way.

Holy expensive cat! Stick with the Magnaflow, it'll flow just as well, won't throw a code and it's less than half the price.

So If I got an aftermarket cat...I would NOT need an o2 simulator right? As long as I still had the existing sensor connected to the new cat it would throw no codes?

Here is a link I found about the o2 simulator and they claim you need it if you REMOVE the cat?????

Thats if your remove it with the intention of not having one at all. If you got a aftermarket cat and put it on you wouldn't need the simulator. The simulator is for people that delete the cat. It tells your cars computer what it wants to know even though thats not whats happening.

Ok got it. Thanks a lot for your help. I am guessing the Dynatech Cat would still throw some codes since it is not odb2 compliant. I get what you saying about the simulator though so thanks a lot:)

I would think if it says not obd2 compliant then it would throw a code, but if you got the simulator with it then it wouldn't throw any codes.
