WOW... so yeah been a while since i have been on here. Sorry for the long absence. Again i have run into more issue with the alero.

The "new" er motor in my car (after the other one blew up) threw the timing chain pretty bad and destroyed most of my valves. Im now looking for a head to replace it with. Has anyone else had this much trouble with their cars??? LOL

Oh well but yeah so if anyone knows of a place to get a head or has a spare one laying around let me know. I need it to get the alero running again so i can have my car back. Its been down since before christmas.

anyway glad to see the site is still running strong. look forward to some thread reading later on this week so i can catch back up

A good place to start is a scrap, bone or junk yard. Pull it off and act like its a p.o.s car it comes off of and you can probably get it reasonable.

130 is not bad. I take it the head is in good working order
how long can you hold on to it till i get some money together??

The alero has been good other then the head going. The newer motor feels like it has a bit more power to it then my first one (not the rebuilt) Kinda wondering if someone on here had the alero i pulled the engine from.
It was t-boned in the passanger door and was a light green almost teal color 4 door. dunno though didnt have really any mods to it though so i doubt it. oh well the engine is mine now :D but still need to get that head replaced.

HAHA thanks billy but yeah im still kicking evan though my car keeps knocking me down. I def. have put more then what the car is worth into it.

At this rate the car will have enough money in it to fund a house.:jk:

it hasn't moved in a long time. it has about 20,000 miles on it. I would just make sure to have a machine shop clean off the mating surface for good measure.
