I love my car but I'm 6'2 240lbs and I hate the drivers seat. Especially on long drives. It's a real basic seat with no lumbar adjustment. That's where it really gets me.
1. Does anyone have an OE power drivers seat that they can comment on?
2. Has anyone changed out a basic drivers seat for a better one?

The OE power seat is really nice and the lumbar support helps on those long drives.
The only thing I hate about our seats is that back adjusting bar on the side. Everybody pulls it thinking is a way to get into the back seat, esp at the car wash. One time somebody adjusted the seat and kept trying to push it up and was pushing it hard. I had to yell at him before he broke it, but since he didn't speak English, :rolleyes2: , I really don't think is mattered too much

I know what ya mean about people pulling the wrong lever, people do that in mine all the time, and they keep doing it after I tell them where the acual access lever is :rolleyes2:
What about GAGT seats, how are they, I would imagine they would be a little more supportive.

I'm a big guy too and I have the power seat and I havn't had a problem with it at all. If I was to change it would be for another power seat, I wouldn't waste money on some uncomfortable racing seat. If your not racing..not cool! IMO

The OEM power seat does have a manual lumbar adjustment, but I never really liked it's placement (too high on the backrest).
After about 2 hours in the OEM seat my back and shoulders would hurt so badly from not having any support. And don't even think about spirted driving with the OEM seats.....they hold you about as well as goose snot.
I switched both my front seats out for a set of Recaro Speed seats. They are not for everyone though - you need to be pretty skinny. So try to audition some seats before you buy.

Now that sounds like a good idea :D
My bro in law has "Carblu" (sp) in his Mustang and they are hard as a rock, but with almost 200,000 miles on the seats, they did need to be changed
I know racing seats will go in to the Alero, but you have to use the OE seat tracks and some seats they need to be welded in place

I had regular cloth manual seats, but I had lumbar... it was the knob at the front of the seat - turn it either way to increase or decrease the lumbar.

Mine have the same thing but are power.

Thanks for all the feedback. I just got off the road from a 5 hour drive and I'm incentivised to call the wreckers to see what they have.

I love my Alero's Seats. It's the Power with Lumbar... I find once you're in it you go nowhere.
I'm about 325 Pounds so I don't go Anywhere anyway
Really though, if you're bigger than the OEM power seat with Lumbar should do you really well.
