anyone get this recurring code? did a gas cap fix it if you did?

i have this issue too. light only comes on sometimes when i get below 1/4 tank of gas, but i have a powrtuner anyways so i just clear it. i think a gas cap will probably fix it. its obviously the cheapest route so try that first.

new gas cap. The O-rings in our gas cap are crap.

my ses light is on all the time and whenever i check it its says Evap. control small leak

Evap is most likely a gas cap. Mine comes on all the time. :) I did have an evap code when it was brand new that turned out to be a stuck valve somewhere.

i get it only when its cold, just got a gas cap see if code comes back after the code gets erased

What if its not the gas cap, because I keep running into this on my wifes tarus?

bought a new cap cut the code didnt go away on its own yet so ill have to erase it and see if it comes back. and if its not the gas cap it could be anywhere youd need a sniffer or gas analyzer to trace it down from the lines to etc.

ok so after about five days of driving with the new cap the code\light turned itself off.
