ok all i got done to my car performance wise is a cai, i plan on lowering next, but after that what would be the next best thing to do?

exhaust, throttle body, ported manifolds, ported heads, headers, tuned pcm, etc. money is the thing here, mucho money=mucho horsepower. turbo.

now for exhaust, i was thinking about maybe saving up and getting the borla exhaust system for grand am gts, which is $800, would that be worth it? or can i get somethin just as good for cheaper by just getting a custom exhaust?

exhaust is where you wanna start, alright, borla exhaust system for $800 is crazy, eff that-go buy some damn headers for that and then some. go to a shop and get it custom made (mandrel bent if you can), flowmaster, magnaflow etc. 2.5" for v6, get rid of resonator, hi-flow cat, buy some headers, either tog or the only other kind being sold nowadays forgot the name, and finally ported exhaust heads is your whole exhaust. headers is best bang for buck w/increases up to 20hp proven on the togs.

i thought you couldnt get tog headers anymore? the other headers your thinking of are s&s headers

used ones you can, check on gagt. guy was selling his a few days ago-not sure now though, everyone wants them

more than likely ill just end up getting the s&s headers, cause i gotta save up a lil bit more, there only $500 for theirs, i wonder would powder coating the headersafter i get them be pointless? cause i can get anything i want powder coated next to nothin because i use to work at a place that did it...
