I bought a 9 led dome light from v-leds.com and im having some issues with it.

With the original bulb in my dome light works fine. when its on the door setting, you get in, close the door, and the light slowly fades off like it should.

When I put the led buld in, it slowly fades down, but stays on very, very dim.... if i turn it to the off setting, it will go off completely. So im thinkin i have a parasidic power problem, but isnt enough to light up a regular some bulb..... is this possible?????? Can anyone think of any other possibilities??? Any help would be appreciated!!!

leds have a MUCH lower drain and require ALOT less power to turn on... so with the little bit of residual power can light the leds up a little bit.

halogen lights (stock) require alot of power to light up, so they don't have that problem.

its normal for us w/ led lights.

so if i just leave it the way it is (very very dim) all the time, i shouldnt have any problems?

Thanks for the info cherrington!

no, no problem at all. its common for the light. normally your gonna have a little power trickling through anyway... now you just have it lit up a little SHOWING you have a little power in there.

i have 25 white leds. 6 groups of 4, and one spare (that worked its way in somehow) The white one w/ a resistor i have, gives me a little light showing on it, and the others don't, since the amount of power, isn't enough to light up each of the 24, to a visible level.

its just bad ground/circuit wiring on Olds's part, i suppose. But with halogens in there, who'd notice?

so... long story short. Its normal, don't worry about it.

Mine do that too in a couple spots. I never did anything about it...
