My ps pump went today:

how do i know if i have the VARIABLE EFFORT STEERING OPTION NV7 ? pics or link ?

it is a 2000 gls 3.4

my 2001 gls had variable. im guessing that you do. If you are swapping it yourself you will need a 23mm deep well socket if i recall properly. to switch the variable valve. I will check my toolbox later if you need me to and see what size it is for sure.

Look for the code "NV7" on the Service Parts Identification label on the underside of the spare tire cover.
