Ram Air idea?

so i was thinking of buying this filter and puting on my cai and when i hit the track run another piece of pipe from the front of filters heat shield to where my fog light should be on the fender but for track only. im kind of curious whether i would see any gains since it would essentially be condensing the air coming into the filter.

There would be no condensing going on and no ram air effect like you're thinking. The engine would be getting nice fresh outside air though. You won't see a huge gain, but it's a good idea.

my setup is similar to one you have in mind. my air filter sits right behind the fog light and is an inverted top cone. cant say i noticed much of a gain though, but i didnt really expect one considering how modified my engine is.
