Car problems

Put my key in the ignition and turned the key the key does the regular turned but nothing turns on till the keys half way back. Sometimes when i turn the key it also resets my stereo and also when it does this the engine does not get no gas. It seems like a power surge of some sort?? Any ideas

You have to rewrite that sentence since I'm having difficulty as to what is going. How do you know it does not get any gas?

good place to start would be to have your ignition cylinder (key switch) checked.

Is the security light coming on??? I know I had problems starting my car and it turned out to be that.... Aslo, my battery died on me once... Would try to start, resetted my radio a couple times then finally died...

First thing I would do is get the battery load tested using a PROPER load tester, and not the little handheld ones. I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be my battery. If it isn't that, then it almost sounds like the ignition switch.

It'll run with the gas pedal down but as soon as you release it, the car dies?

Does the 3400 still use vacuum lines?

the 3400 does have a vacuum line on top of the fpr as well as one for the map sensor.

just that vacum line make somewhat of a suction sound and if so would you be able to her it in the car also when running at slower speeds i hear that sound

also noticed today sometimes the whole car just dies even before i start it and when it finally powers up the car guages go to the redlines before going back to normal
