I was about to install my b&m shiftplus and when i opened my hood i noticed a tube not connected to anything... sorry for my stupidity, but i'm not very knowledgeable about any of the tubes or anything in my car..

Thats you air intake sensor i think. That needs to be in your intake tube man! Has yours been shifting funny?

yeah looks like the sensor that should be connected to your intake piping. I didnt have mine on and it would shift hard

stupid question number 2: where in the intake does it go or connect to?

Any where in the tube. You might have to drille a hole and get a rubber gromet to fit over it.

You can barely see mine in the first big bend in my intake.

lol it barely reached and couldnt stuff it all the way in the rubber gromet, then it popped out test driving it just now...bleh

lol umm didnt mean for that to be sexual, but yeah i cant get it to stay in is there any trick to stuffing it in farther mine barely reaches kinda afraid of breaking it

PFYC has a extension cable. or you could just move the whole and seal the old one.

this right? problem was i just couldnt fit it in the rubber even when i took it off lol you guys have any tricks to get it all the way in without coming out, or are you all just really strong lol :P? im weak im sick i swear..

Follow the wires from the sensor back to where they meet a thick group of wires. All you have to do is unravel a little of the black tape and pull the IAT wires out a little and it'll reach that grommet in the intake tube. Mine was the same way when I had that intake. Just make sure you pull enough out so there's a little slack in the wires when the sensor is fully plugged in the tube.
