i read on aleromod that seafoam was good.

i gave it a shot.

mudderfracker!!!!

i ended up getting 730+ miles out of two tanks of gas.

i normally average 300-330 per tank.

seafoam works.

i used it in my gas tank and crankcase.

i plan on running it through my airlines this weekend.

How much did you put directly into your tank?

And did you then change the oil after you ran it through the crankcase?

i threw a whole bottle in the tank (16oz)
i left it in the crankcase.

i will be doing an oil change in a week tho.

i did not read anything stating that it will cause damage if left in the crankcase.

seafoam didnt give me a smoke show :( well it did help with some of the weird taps i was hearing though i used 1/3 in all recommended spots.

On the old thread about this stuff I read quite a bit from folks saying it'll thin out your oil and that you should do an oil change shortly thereafter. If you regularly service your car I'm thinking you'll be changing your oil soon enough anyway.

I would only run it in the case for 100 miles and city driving, not highway.

I put mine in thru the TB. If you dont get a smoke show, you DIDNT do it rght!

Should it smoke if you put it in the tank? Or only if you go direct into the intake?

Intake only.

Thru the tank it shouldnt smoke at all.

You pour enough in to stall the engine. It soaks the pistons etc...

So just dump a can into the gas, and another in the place where you pour in the oil, right?

one can in the tank, yes.
i only did a half can in the crankcase.
i think they said 1-2 oz per quart of oil.

ok. I just put one can in the gas tank. I'll be putting half of the other can in the cankcase later this week.

Putting it into the gas will help clean the injectors.

But to get the food effect it has to go down the TB.

But your best bet for doing it thoroughly will be with GM Top End Cleaner!

Now that stuff is the shiznit of all!

Take your TB off also and clean it up/out.

Just beware you will want to change plugs afterwards! Oh and you DO run a risk of killing your o2 sensor.

The can of seafoam says it's safe for the o2 sensor though??? and what's TB? Sorry, I'm not familiar with some terms...

I really don't want to take my engine apart... I'l just run some in the oil and finish off the bottle I put in the gas tank... Should be fine.

there is no taking apart of the engine, 2 hose clamps give you access to the tb, 3 bolts take it off, cake.

Well see, when it comes to stuff like that, I'm not very sure what to do, so I'm afraid to do anything to the engine... I can't afford to screw something up... I would need pictures and a guide. lol

chris what u do is start ur car the hose that plugs into the crankcase to the right of where u put oil un plug have seafoam in a cup and start sucking it up u have to rev the engine with the throttle body so it doest die. after all sucked up turn ca off and wait. then start and rev a little did this at the throttle body and smoke will pour out and it stinks i kept running and reving till didnt see smoke then i changed my oil and god damn does that suck lowered and kitted car

You guys run it thru the PCV pipe?

I pull off the one air line and use a long skinny funnel and pout it right thru the TB...

so half in the crankcasem then take some plug out and put it in the cup of seafoam to suck it up ,, and in the tank, then start her up? and let her run till all of the seafoam outta the cup is gone? how long should i leave it in my crankcase before changing my oil

carefull with seafoam i used it religiously and it fouled out my plugs so i suggest a once every oil change maybe every other.
