So, since I got f*cked over by Doctor Speed, I am going to order another intake. I am thinking either one of ebay or one from this site
http://www.mpracing.org/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=17
or ebay...

I dont want to get screwed again, and what about quality? Which one is better in quality....because I am very willing to spend the extra money for better performance and fit and finish:)

there isn't much difference you can get, performance wise. its a tube w/a cone filter. no reason to spend more then an ebay one.

1999-2004 is the same i wouldnt get 3pc intake. i got the tube and air filter and its just better that way.

ive got the one from ebay, and its a good little intake. i modded it a bit and added more pipe pushing it up into the front fender for better flow, but its a good quality set up.

Super easy to install and quite cheap, can't go wrong. Canadian Tire charges about $70 for the cone filter alone.

redrider, stick with the second intake you posted. Dont get the one off ebay where it doesnt have that third peice. You get better airflow when that rubber tubing is taken out. $82 is not bad at all.

We need to make this a sticky or something... I mean I think almost every person with the 3400 asks about the Intakes for our car. If someone could post like a list of them, pros or cons (Con: Doctor Speeds service, Pro: Ebay pricing, etc), I think it would help a lot of people. Just a thought.
Oh, and go with the one from ebay :) good price for what looks to be the same if not better than the DS one.

Doctorspeed: over $200
eBay: no more than $80 for the same thing
I'd say the decision is simple

I'd buy the ebay one becuase there is a pic and that guy has been selling 3400 intakes for a few years now, not to mention the cheap price ;)

Yeah I will defintly go with the ebay one. However, since I live in the Pacific Northwest I am a little worried about water getting sucked into the engine.
I dont plan on driving in puddles though LOL :)
thanks guys.
