hi, i just saw this pic of an alero that has a breather where the pcv valve goes and was wondering if you guys knew what mods are necessary or what benefits come from doing this?

That's probably a bad thing to do because the crankcase isn't being vented properly.
Oh, and it's PCV. Positive Crankcase Ventilation. The lack of the PCV valve and vacuum source removes the "positive" from the system.

Hmm,... if you have a turbo system or supercharger U will need to use it, but with no mods its a no no

thats not chrome.. its polished to a mirror finish. which is hard to do yourself if u don't know how to do it. Mines being sent off to a shop to get polished out next week.
Chrome holds alot of heat = bad for the engine to begin with. And when u chrome the inside will get chromed too and if theres any inperfection inside (i.e. rough edges).. it will peel off inside and you will get chrome into the motor = bad.
