I had my front pads and rotors changed 5000 miles ago, and now there is a squealing noise when I am driving at slower speed, and when I start to apply brakes.
so today, i took everything apart, and compared the new pads to my old pads, and they are very different.
was wondering if maybe they are rear pads? not sure if there is even a diffenence in front and rear pads, as I have drums in the back
the pads on the left are the stock, the ones on left, are the newer ones I just took off
any input would be great

Looks like cheaper pads on the right. The more high dollar pads look like that on the left with more meat and the notch in the middle.

all my pads .. i only use cermanic. has the slot in the middle for heat vent. Your caliper looks like your wearing a pad on the inside piston more than the outer pad. Looks like u need to lube the caliper pins more.
Alero2envy is right.. the new pads looks more cheaper due to the design it doesn't get too much surface area compared to the old stock ones.

Definitely not rear pads...rears are quite a bit smaller than fronts, and won't mount in the caliper. Like Envy said, it's probably just a cheap replacement. You probably should have compared your new pads to the old ones before you put them on, and then gone and gotten some with the right size friction surface. Now, if you decide to get some that are like your originals, you'll need to get your rotors turned or replaced.
