tinting tails

my buddy is tinting my tail lights tomorrow and i can't figure out how i want it to look. i'm only getting two coats then a clear. i don't want them too dark. my trouble is if i should get the reverse lights tinted or not. i don't care if it's not as bright but what would look better. i want my car to have a nice ass, i already shaved it. any input would be helpful.

looks good....at least now I know how to do the tails. I spent like 2 hours at work looking for tail light covers for the alero online.....

so where can i find the tint for the tails.. im thinking its in aerosal can.. autozone dont have it.. but i got tint left over from my windows.. could i just use that?

It's called VHT Nite Shades tint.

Just google it, you'll probably see a ton of people selling it.

i got it done friday and it looks sweet. my computer is ghetto and doesn't up load pics, so i will try and explain how they look. we measured an 1 1/2in all the way around all four lights and that boarder was tinited with three coats along with a 2in strip in between the brake and signal and marker and reverse. the 3rd brake light has three coats. i will try and get pics up, there on my buddy's camara at his store.

he got in an accident and decided to leave the new tails stock

yep all my tails were smashed in my accident and havent decided if im going to tint them again

here thay are and i love them. they are not perfect but they cost me $30 to do.

Will window tint work, i doubt it but hey its cheap and worth a try if no-one knows.

they have stuff specially made for it, which is what i used, its a more flexable tint that actually will reform itself if it get scratched, forget the name of it tho

no but you only notice at night when your up close. that's 3 coats. i would have liked to do 4 but the kind of melts to your tail lights and the tape melts with it. we did 3 quick even coats and then you use a blade and lift the corner of the tape and pull it of while it's still wet. the tape gets gobby and all melted if you leave it on two long. you have to spray then take the tape off right away. it looks sweet from a distance at night.

that would look very clean but i like the crome on mine because the blue for superwhite bulbs reflects off the back of the headlight and looks cool
