Hi,

I would just like to ask which muffler do u guys recommend on for the Alero (prices can be good too)?

And did any of u try a Remus muffler? and how did it sound like?

I'm thinking of installing one...

Thanx alot.

whaddup dude, everyone on here seems to be going with a super 40 series from flowmaster, but I got a magnaflow on my car, so it just depends cuz everyone is gonna have different opinions.

If you wanna be unique id get a hooker muffler for a camaro/trans am 1 inlet 2 outlets so u could run a dual tip set up, in my opinion those mufflers sound awesome and arent expensive

just depends, there are many exhaust companies out there, just gotta find the one u want ya know?

check out www.jegs.com or www.summitracing.com

I went to another preformance shop around here and they suggested me the Remus 0596T muffler...

Anyone heard of it? And when i'll be swtiching the muffler i'll be switching to strait - shaped muffler instead of the original width - shaped muffler is there a chance to harm the car in some way? because i think the people who built the car placed it like that for a reason...

a muffler is a muffler dude u just have different designs to em but they wont harm the car. I never heard of a remus muffler, Id have to check into it.

I can't get a flowmaster or magnaflow or any of the stuff u have over there... seems like Remus is my only option... When i say a remus muffler i mean a free-flow muffler that makes more noise.

Yeah i guess it's easy for u if u say it like that... Before i spend alot of money on that i first need to know if it will fit the car and not harm it...

Try that, is you have the 2.4 there isn't many clips but if you have the 3.4 there are more. Youtube would also be a great place to look.

Yeah i guess it's easy for u if u say it like that... Before i spend alot of money on that i first need to know if it will fit the car and not harm it...
If its just a muffler it will not hurt the car, and with enough effort any will fit.

first of all, Remus is a top brand name for mufflers. Higher than Borla. Just check on ebay for the price of a Remus. Top quality product that makes exhaust mostly for luxury cars.

500$ US for a remus muffler installed is in the price range.

For all of you: http://www.remusexhaustshop.com/

Secundo, don't forget you are installing you're muffler on an Alero, you have to question yourself what are your needs. Are you rdy to pay more for your exhaust and be sure to have quality product, or do you only want the sound and price is most important? If so, you should probly opt for a cheaper brand like flowmaster or Magna. I don't know if Dynomax makes exhaust specifically for the Alero, but they should have a "fit all" muffler size.

with those you should be able to get something installed for around 300 (us$) i suppose.

Thanks,

ya i will buy that ferrari muffler on your homepage if you give it to me for about 95% off lol i never knew a muffler could be so damn expensive. why are you trying to ripoff my buddy?!

Alon, i find it hard to believe that there are no cheaper mufflers available to you in Israel. when i first got my exhaust done i went with a flowmaster 40 series, which was nice for a while until the insides broke and it started to rattle. then i switched to magnaflow and am super happy with it. hopefully a shop by you has one of these two brands available. otherwise i would just put the stock system back on.

Well i've been searching and the cheapest price i've found so far for the muffler i want is 600$ (without installation fee).

The one im interested in should fit the Alero o.k.

Here is a photo of the exact muffler i want:

Oh and, Remus has the only legal mufflers in Israel.

thats some BULL. here in the U.S. we call that a monopoly.

it looks like it will fit. what are the dimensions? the determining factor will be length.....

We are not ripping off your buddy, actually we cannot help him, as we do not ship to Israel.

Your "ferrari statement" is pretty uninformed, look around, we offer the least expensive system for the Modena 360.

Comparing us to FlowMasters is a waste of our time, again, if any of you have any serious questions, feel free to ask, we'll gladly help you.

Alon, you have picked the highest priced universal muffler we offer. I highly recommend you look around and try to find our single tip mufflers or the twin tip mufflers.

Maybe, but i should be thankfull that i've found a real upgrade to do in my car which is legal! lol...

I dont exactly remember the dimensions but i remember the guy said that he will have to cut a very small piece of the exhaust pipe to make it strait and then it will fit good.

(my comment was refering to jackal2000)

Have you looked into the other tip styles? You could save, if money is an issue.

so you dont ship to Israel but Remus is all that is legal there. im no genius but that doesnt make one bit of sense.

sure my ferrari statement is uninformed, if i owned a ferrari why would i be on an alero forum?

i never compared you to flowmaster and actually thats not fair to flowmaster or magnaflow for that matter which are tailored to the USDM, not so much the exotic/euro side of the house.

Our company has many divisions all over the world, thus each has his own area to cover. I'm not here to discuss our structure, nor the "what if I owned a ferrari" comments.

The dimensions are posted above.

Jackal,

the fact that it is the only thing legal here u should blame on our government or whoever made the rules and not on Remus, because I dont think they have something to do with it.

It's just a hard thing here becoz the law here is very strict about upgrades and basically most of the stuff that youre doing over there r not legal over here but i thank u all for the help guys...

I guess that Remus is being trusted because its the most top-quality product and it doesnt noise like other brands.

WoW! that's the first time I see this kind of happening. Maybe it shows that its no cheapo company. I heard remus was great, but not that much. i guess it goes with the price thought...
