I'm thinking about getting some of that sea foam stuff that everyone says is really great for the engine. My question is, where do I put the stuff in the engine? I've heard of a couple places, but have no idea where or what they are. Any help would be great!

thats true for top engine carbon, but not the fuel system and injectors.

I still think lucas makes the best fuel system cleaner. Ive ran a bottle of it through my car every 3 tanks off gas its helped it a ton, i guess the prev. owner never did anything to it like that. but it cleaned it right u and its alot nicer acting now.

I have actually read ALL the previous threads and the can itself, yet have not seen anyone give a time frame on "how long" to leave Seafoam in the oil before changing it out. Does it have to sit for hours or driven a certain amount of miles with it in there before changing? Or just put it in, wait five minutes, let it run, then change the oil?

Just don't be like me and keep killing the motor. It's hard keeping it running and holding on to a bowl of seafoam while trying to keep the hose in the bowl but not ALL the way in the seafoam....

I put the seafoam in through the throttle body of my 2.4L and reved the engine with my hand because it will try to die. Also I added this to my engine oil and left it in there for a day then got my oil changed. From what I have read about this stuff it shouldn't change the viscosity of the oil at all. I have added it to my transmission fluid as well and I have yet to change that, but I did notice a slight difference with it but not much to rant about, so there's my two cents.

I bought myself 2 bottles also couple days ago, tomorrow is finally a day off where i can try that.
Im thinking about fulling my gas tank and putting one full can there,
then putting half a can in the oil, I need an oil change anyways and I am doing that tomorrow as well
and the other half I dont know btw directly through the throttle body or the vacuum line (which is the little rubber tube that is attach to the intake tube I believe)
What do you think?

Im not sure some of you understand the procedure with this stuff or GM top end cleaner.
You pour it in slowly at first, then dump it rapidly until it stalls. Let it sit for 15 minutes- this is the time period where its soaking your valves and pistons. THEN you start it back up...
Think seafoam is good, get the GM top end cleaner! lol, lightyears better and $8 a can.

Point?
It does a better job!
Just beware you may need new spark plugs after either of the two being used direct.
That $3 difference will be saved back in 3 tanks of gas ;)
