Fuel Filter Bolt Size?

When you disconnect your fuel filter..what is the size of the bolt that you turn?? not the bolt on the fuel filter-the one next to it cuz i need to get a flare wrench and im not sure what size (dont have my car with me either so i cant check) thanks all

I was able to do it using vice grips and a crescent wrench.

i think it was a 16mm or something around there. i cant remember for sure though. Vice grips and a crescent wrench will work. Just dont round it off.
