OK so it's starting up again, the same thing that was happening right before the # 3 plug popped out.

The car was fine at the track. I did knock off a loose vacuum line, but it's better in that respect. Everytime I'd hit a bump on the way home, the tach would jump. On the way home from a BBQ tonight, It got worse. I took notice that right after it would bog and the tach would jump the A/F gauge would stay lean for a few seconds.

My mech installed a Heili core on the # 3 plug, but he had to re-tap the #3 and #1 plug holes. He didn't have to put in a Heili core on #1 but I'm wondering if he has to?

My Voltmeter is also reading 13 and not 13.8. I don't think this is related, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

I have to go down to the shop on Tuesday anyway. I have to start putting the stuff under the Delta's hood, since the motor went in on Saturday.

I figure he'll do the Alero, and I do the Delta, since he wouldn't let me touch the 1, 3, and 5 plugs :p

Does this make sense, or could it be something else?

If the tach jumps without the engine revving, the pcm could be getting a bad signal from the cam and/or crank position sensor. I'd expect your a/f to go rich off of that though, as the pcm tries to deliver more gas for a higher percieved engine speed. I don't know, but it's something you might check out. We have a test for them at Autozone.

Loose ign wires.

Replaced tonight and took the car for a ride. Got on the highway from a standing start. Revved up to 6000 in 1st and 2nd with no misses. Car also seems to idle smoother :D

Took a little under a 1/2 hour to replace, counting the 2 mintues it took to take out the tower brace ;)
