I was wondering if porting the UIM and not the lower would be worth the time and money? Also, would it add much power without getting a bigger TB?
you need all three things to match up or you wont get any power. LIM UIM and TB all ported to 62mm is what most do.

Not to highjack the thread, but is this parts you can buy and install or do you take your stuff off and take it to a machine shop?

Milzy Motor Sports will do it for you. Costs $250 to do your upper intake manifold.

take the time and do your own, i did mine in a day. gains will be minor unless you are running exhaust to match.

seriously, if you're gonna do the porting, you really should gasket match the whole setup, to include the heads. Think about this.....you port the LIM, then the air flow is going to hit a "shoulder" as it comes into the smaller head ports if they aren't matched as well.

my Ported UIM is for sale and it is only 225+ shipping.
Plus the plenum is ported to 65mm ... the manifold and the work are from 60degreev6.com.

i wish i could answer your questions better but i did heads intakes and tb at the same time. I noticed a big difference, i enjoy it alot. I agree with BJ though, without doing the whole deal it wont perform nearly as well.
