That's probably not the problem. If this indeed happened IMMEDIATELY after you installed your intake, why the intake would trigger your "anti-theft device" is beyond me. If it was the intake the theory would be that you messed up your IAT sensor and caused the engine to run lean. But since it sounds like it runs fine now..

perhaps it's the car's way of telling you not to do something stupid like put neons on it.

haha, i agree.
car would still run if the IAT sensor was bad, your idle would be like 2k RPMs tho, i just had to replace mine

My car pulled that "Security" B.S. too, 3 days after I put my CAI on. thank god the tow truck driver knew what was going on, saved me a tow, apparently he gets a lot of call for this on Aleros.
i have my interior neons hooked up to a switch, my underglows are hooked up to the dome light fuse

No, you just gotta leave the car in the "on" position for 10 mins.
if your security light is on and your car just keeps cranking and wont turn over, you have to leave your car in the "on" position for 15 mins. after that check if the security light is still on, if its not the car should just start fine

Never had that problem, even when I put the CAI on my car... just changed it to a WAI and still no problems. but now I know what to do in case this happens. thanks!
