Sockets lol, time to get out the tire iron and a good strong 4-6 foot steel pipe that will fit over it.

yep time to git out the ol Break-er-bar, unless you happen to have an impact (which is probably what got them on so tight in the first place)

If you are rotating your tires, be sure to loosen the lug nuts a little before you raise the car up, otherwise it is impossible. Otherwise, yeah, do what other people said and use a breaker bar.

If you shit is that shaky I would take them back to the place you get them put on, your wheels may need to be rebalanced.

x2 and tell them next time all you need is the recommended amount of torque on your lugs

100 ft-lbs for the stock aluminum rims....I would assume anything aftermarket should be close to that as well. At 100 ft-lbs I can remove the wheels with just a socket and ratchet (and an extension for you nitpickers).

On later models, they decided to take some standard options out of the Aleros: Traction control, rear disk brakes, and some other stuff. I think this was for 2003 and 2004

wtf you are supposed to tighten your lugs with a impact if you have it, thats why you needed to jump on the bar because obviously they used an impact gun to put them on, lol dont be mad at the dealership because they did the right thing

No. The rims are supposed to have 100ft-lbs on them. Not torqued on with an impact.

DaRock is right. Over torque can cause problems

before you put them back on put a little WD-40 on the threads so it doesn't do that again

I used one of those cross shaped tire irons from K-market when I had to take mine off and they were definatly impacted on. I kept waiting for that weld to break on the tire iron, I could see it flexxing when I was stomping it...

goto a junkyard and pull off a rear disc brake setup off any alero or grandam's. has been done before from drum to disc conversion.
