Well I figured I would show how my homework for my photoshop class is going, i photoshopped LaChicana Alero.

After

I lowered it, shaved the handles, changed it to my car's color, cleared corners, custom taillights, modified 5 spoke rims, new muffler.

Any other ideas that I could do? If anyone had a pic of an alero body kit at about that angle that would be awesome.

definitely not digging the tails, but IMO the rest is good so far. maybe making the brakes visible in the wheels...
and shaving that strip off the side of the doors

change up the angle so it looks like it's bagged hitting switches

Yeah I don't really like em either... I just made em up really quick... I'll probably change it before I submit it.

and about the brakes.... I'll probably put some painted calipers in there

hey, when you're done, can you chop out just the car without the wheels and the wheels seperately? If you can and send them to me I'll put together a flash animation to make it look like it's got bags going up and down. Don't know when I can get to it but soon

xD that'd be awesome, I'll have to work on the window a little bit though, probably put in some glass so you wouldn't be able to see the other side as much (less work for me and plus you get tinted windows ^_^ )

So have the car on one layer and the wheels on another then?

yeah, I should only need one copy of the wheel and I can just duplicate it.

Alright, I'm clone stamping most of the background right now, making it look as realistic as possible:scpimp:

My eyes hurt now though :(

I want to get rid of that damn sign but idk what I'd do about the pole behind it though >_<

I got rid of the pole for ya!
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b340/clutch1234/paintedlero.jpg
Took like 15 mins in paint, the grass was terrible, two different brightnesses on either side of the sign.. so I just turned it all dark green, hah. Still, the grass don't look that great.

Lets hear it for paint, woo.

I'm working on getting the final touches of the background done for ya, I'll have it able to go from around 3 inches above stock to around 1-2 inches from dragging.

needs brakes behind the wheels. It kinda looks odd otherwise. Other than that good work.

I mean do it in real life dude, just pull them off and use some desolve it or something to take that sticky shit off. Clear ur corners too, cheapest things to do to make it look good.

Well for one the original isn't my car. The paint job after I changed it looks just like my car (paint-wise) I haven't done anything to my car yet because of money issues, once I move this next month I'll be able to get some of this stuff done.

I plan on clearing corners and taking of the guards first, after that I plan on getting all new rotors, lowering it, putting in a CAI and after that I'll be saving up for a turbo and all that goes along with it. Should be mighty fun xD

After the turbo I may buy some rims idk yet though.

hey I got the file, I'll have to download photoshop sometime this weekend to open it, then I can convert it and put it into a flash animation. Don't know if I'll get it all done this weekend I'll be pretty busy but I should at least get started

still haven't had a chance to download photoshop yet, I've been crazy busy. I might get to it right after work today, if not I'm not sure when but I will get it done before Mark finishes the OSV kit.

Isn't it slightly funny when you see your car without your knowledge getting remodeled. The only thing is if you would of had a litte respect to say hey Im going to borrow your pic to do some homework ok....I think I would have been cool with it. But dang just to rearrange the car is a hole different subject. Thanks for asking!!!!! By the way the bagged I didnt care for a bit:mad2: :mad2:

i know that the author of the photograph has the unanounced copyrights and stuff... but who really gives a shit honeslty if he asked or not... it's the ultimate form of flattery if you ask me... if it was my picture i wouldn't be pissed if he used it. lighten up a bit eh? we're all friends here...

I really didn't mean to do any harm LaChicana, its just that that picture was the only picture I could find of an alero at a side angle like that. If you want I could make you some kind of signature as saying I'm sorry that I didn't ask you first. >_<

alerocar01
03-03-2007, 08:25 PM
yeah if my picture was used i would be cool with it. its fun to see what other people think will make your car better looking.

So as we've learned here, if you're going to play with photoshop and somebody's car, its just best to ask that person first....hopefully you're cool with it now LaChicana and we can all go on

technically (as per the law) as long as it's for a school related thing and the person isn't displaying or selling the art... copyright laws are much more relaxed... but glad to see you aren't flustered about it...:thumb:

I know the matter's kinda done, don't wanna stir stuff up.
Just kinda seems to me that any 2 door coupe Alero would've done good, yours just had a cool background and a good angle.
eh?
