It should be in your owner's manual. Or call the GM number on your little window sticker. It's 1-800-442-OLDS for me (in the US). My warranty was 36,000 miles for corrosion, 100,000 miles for rust through, meaning a hole in the sheet metal.
I had to raise a big stink to get a new hood, but I finally did. A dealer finally agreed that it was rusting through and replaced it for me under warranty, with about 95,000 miles on it. The spot on the quarter panel is still there, though, and they wouldn't do anything for me. It's an obvious factory defect but they told me to take a flying leap because there wasn't a hole in the car yet.

Nice, Yeah got to love GM sometimes I tell you. Well mine also is getting bad at the lip of the hood the paint is peeling off and its rusted not bad but right on the tip so soon its going to travel to the top. Also bottoms of my doors where the joint is for both pans its rusting. Now if I am not the original owner can I still claim warranty or does there have to be a transfer? Thanks for the awsome info!! :)

It shouldn't matter if you're the original owner or not if it's still the factory warranty. That's exactly what happened to my hood, too. The weld all around the inside of it was bad and rusted. All you can do is take it in and ask someone though. You can keep trying different dealer though, that's what I did. :)

Nice Thats a relief.. Now another question is... is it 100,000 KHM covered?? or miles?

I got the extended warranty and it was 100,000 KM, so yours is proabably the same. I think in the US it's 60,000 miles. Most cars rust within 5 years, few rust through. A bit of a shady word game if you ask me. That was one of the first things I asked about when I bought my car and I thought any rust would be covered, but nope, holes or nothing. If it's not rusted through you can probably apply some sort of accelerant (salt, acid, etc) if you're desperate for a free repair. We won't rat you out;)
