Ok well ive been thinking for the last few weeks whether or not i should get the VHT tint spray, and ive decided that i am.

But before i get it, i would like to ask everyone if i should get some clearcoat stuff to put over the spray when im done????? someone on here told me that a while ago, but i would like to ask everyone if thats necessary??

Oh and if i happen to mess up while putting it on my taillights, can it be easy taken off and redone???? i probably wont, cause i will be getting help from my step dad whos good with shit like this, but i just wanna make sure that if i happen to, will it be easy to remove?

Thanks everyone for the help:rolleyes2:

I would rather do the tint spray, because i dont think there will be any problems, i know how to spray paint correctly.

I did a lot of reading of posts from way back about the tinting,

Some people said you only need to wet sand the lights, some people had 3 different kinds of sand paper and then wet sanded it.

so what would be the best way? i mean i dont want it to take forever to do, so if i just wet sanded would that look good?

my other question is, im thinking of not tinting the reverse lights....do you guys think that would look good? or should i just tint the whole light?

oh and now i know that i have to spray some clearcoat, so im good on that.

The only thing that worries me is that you were asking how hard it is to remove if you screw up....personally when I do it I will go the lamin-x route because it will be much easier to reverse, just my opinion, do what ya gotta do....

if it takes a long time, so be it, better for it to be done correctly and take a long as time then to do a half ass job only to make it look like crap only to do it again and waste time and money. just do the research and google for any reviews or warnings and see what ya can find. 90% chance you'll find the answer here, just gotta look

I used night shades(spray tint) on my old z24, took my time did a good job, in they turned out fine.
I sanded using 800 grit(if I remember)
used tint
then cleared.
cant really remember how many coats it was.
