The clutch engages like an inch from the floor, I was making the thing buck like crazy. Once I got it into first and going I was go, first to second was easy, not pretty, but easy, then second to third was cake. I didn't make it to fourth or fifth since the curb tried to kill me.

I've got some not so great news...i'm not coming. I was doing some wondering about this all and then checked my school calender...we're done with school the 8th, however that whole next week is teacher workdays. Now of course, I've got more "comp time" than Jesus, but the last day of teacher workdays (June 15th) is capped meaning we can't use comp time instead of going to work, so I have to be there. The reason they did this is because apparently last year some teachers skipped out of the last few days and their grades were wrong and it made a headache for the lady that computes the report cards and by making everybody come, if there's a problem, they'll be able to fix it on the last day...sorry guys, count me out!
I would drive up after work Friday, but that makes for a hell fo a haul for 1 day essentially and I start teaching "lego robotics" at summer camp on Monday

i learned to first drive a stick when i was 15 on a Jetta w/a turbo. And then most recently I drove a trabi in Germany that had the shifter on the wheel. So that was tough trying to drive around Germany.

Far as a bar nite i will NOT plan and will not promote. due to we all come from a far and to have someone get a DUI or accident is not the smartest thing. Why do you think there has never been a problem with drinking at the hotel. it is safe for everyone.

now i understand what you are saying, however are you going to be the responsible one and make sure you get everyones keys and keep an eye on them to make sure nobody trys to get them or someone steals their keys? because the ASS Staff/ Alero Chapter will not be doing this.

I never said that it was said that we weren't allowed. Not once did I say that! I know you only said you wouldn't promote it. I'm not arguing that. At all. And I never expected it to be your or the clubs resonsibility if something goes wrong. It's common sense lol. If people want to go out and get drunk, they are responsible for themselves, regardless of where they go. All I was saying is if people DO want to go, go for it. Just go by cab and leave the keys at the hotel. Once I start drinking a lot I don't drive period. If I get a DUI with my job, I am immedately terminated, no questions asked. My company made me sign a document that they can check with Ill. DMV every 2 months, which they do.

I've lost a couple of dear friends and a cousin to their own and others stupidity and will not let anyone do harm to others after drinking to much if I can do anything about it. Everyone thinks they are invincible after drinking.

Scot cannot afford to have the chapter pulled from OCA over stupidity, I totally agree with his stance on the matter.
