My car has been doing that since I had my overheat problem. But not only that, when I hit the gas, it stutter steps til it either A) eventually pulls itself through or B) makes the Service Engine Soon flash 8 times

lol alright. they wanted to charge me $800 to do the cam and another $700 for the heads and they were the only shop that would even want to touch the motor. i gave thim the finger and took off!!!

for you, all you probably need is a Snell 2000 (or better) helmet, and a single layer SFI 3.2A/1 fire jacket. You wont need major mods to your car until you start seriously increasing the HP (nitrous, turbo, S/C)

Our track is just now implementing/enforcing those current NHRA regs.

The stage 3 NA car ran a 14.01 at the track with a 2.25 60ft.it was the guys first time at the track.its supost to be runing a 12.9.im going to be pissed if i dont hit 14.5

you should prob put some 36lb injectors on your car.The following combination should be good for ~200whp ... stage 2 heads,
>stage 2 cam, injector kit, ported upper and lower, headers, exhaust, cold
>air intake, and pcm. this is what milzy was telling me.

should be fine if you use both o2 sensors.

it will run, but it wont run quite the same. since you're N/A, you need SOME backpressure to maintain low-end torque.

All of what power? I can see a 350whp GA or Alero running in the 12's, aslong as they hook, but your looking for 12's out of a 227whp car, and FWD of all things. Stock my type of Mustang dynos about 225-235rwhp, depending on dyno and all the other factors and stock they run high 13's to low 14's. Most S/C Mustang GTs have about 350-450rwhp, depending on if any bolt ons are done and what type of S/C you have, and how much boost your running, but between 350-450rwhp, Mustang GT's run on avg high 11's to mid 12's. There are alot of factors that play into affect. I know of RSX Type-S' runnin in the 13's with only 210whp on stock rubber.

finaly got her running!shes a beast just having prob at idle and i think its b/c im running with just the high flow cat.

you problem at idle is your PCM calling for 650rpms. you have to bump it up to AT LEAST 800rpms. unless you already did that...

well i got the rest of the 2.5 pipe put on today and it sounds like a monster!! it idels perfect now with the rest of the pipe on there. i also ran a 13.6 with the g-tech thingy that i have but i think i took off wrong.

the owner of the shop that installed mine said they called milzy asking which postion to install it and he said to put it in "straight up". said owner thought was weird because from his experience they usually go in at an angle. i dunno, i was just curious. that kind of stuff is over my head lol

ya its loud only when i get on it and it gets a lil raspy after like 4000 rpms.i love the way it sounds with that 2.5 pipe on there! i cant keep trac. after 4000 rpms in 1st it kinda sux.i would put some sound clips up but i dont have anything but my phone to do it with and its like 5 sec.

my car is fine, the tune is kicking my ass though. i might be making a trip to WV this weekend to go see SpruceGAGT(Andy) and start to get my VE tune done. my car wont idle or run right now without the MAF.

i got the lower intake and put it on. its smother o and i fucked up my alt. b/c i forgot to take the batt off!! sparks and a lil fire but everything still works and it still starts. my alt is only pushing out 30 amps now so i need to get another one.other than that shes a fucking beast!she hit 120 like nuthing on a old road that no one goes on!!

milzys kit was like $3260 with s&h. the s&s headers were like $880 with s&h and i had to get a cherry picker and a engine stand they were like $350. so around $4500!!! shit!! i prob. saved like $2500 b/c i did it myself.

doing it yourself will save alot of money. Would have saved you alot more money if you did your own PnP work and built your own heads. I didn't, but mainly because I dont have the time or patience. I'm building engine number 2 for full race soon as I'm done with this transmission upgrade, and I'm doing all that port work and heads myself this time.
