I have a Doctor Speed Stage 2 short ram intake. I had a K&N filter on it, but I left the stock plastic air inlet tube that goes to the the air box on my 3400, and well needless to say the vibrations off the engine caused it to rub a hole in my filter. Should I just buy the same RF-1025 K&N element or should I get an Airaid filter that also comes with a pre filter on it? I have sense removed the tube so no worries about rubbing. Any input would be great.

yeah like 1 million miles...i had issues with my first filter breakign, so i bought a new one to replace it...called up K&N and they sent me a check for the second filter and paid for shipping to send the first filter back to them

I never even heard of airaid until my step dad put a CAI in his 05 dakota. But let me tell you, the CAI and Gibson exhaust sound NASTY.lol
