It's usually easy enough to go pull the whole setup from a car at the salvage yard and just replace the consumables.

I actually just saw a set up for conversions, but it was priced at $1,000 for front and $1,000 for backlol pretty damn expensive, when i get home if i can find the site i will post it up for ya, but im sure u can find cheaper somewhere.
As for the rims, i cant see the pics, but how much are you spending on the Rims & Tires?????? cause like i said, go to www.wheelmax.com (http://www.wheelmax.com) and u can get a set of chrome rims and tires for $1,200-$1,400, and they have GREAT customer service and the shipping only takes about a week. OH AND THE SHIPPING, AND MOUNTING AND BALANCING ARE FREE!! sweet deal:coolio:

Do you really think that you're going to need that kind of braking performance in the rear of the car? My stock rear disc brake setup cost about $50 from the junkyard for both sides. I just replaced a few more things than i had to and i'm probably up to about $400 or so.

I like the first ones. And on a white coupe chrome would look sharp! gl :)

i'm more of a silver on white guy. not too much on the chrome. those aren't bad looking wheels, tho.

that is why i am asking on the forum.. because i dont know anything about brakes, but i dont want drums anymore..
how much is different? i kno i need to replace the drums with a rotor and caliper.. but is that all i need? do the brake fluid lines bolt right up?

well i dont think i will need a how to.. because i wont do it.. ill send it to the shop.. and if i DO do it, ill do it with my grandpa (he buys crashed pos's and makes em new again.. from fenderbendered cars to totaled.. doesnt matter.. he does em.. so thats where ill go if i do it myself)
anyways... no one probably cared about that
but i just want to know what all i will be needing to buy... spindles, emergency cable, what else?! it would be really appreciated.

they are both nice... but for origionality i'd go with number 1... they are nice looking and i've seen about a million versions of number 2

i vote for number 2, number 1 is too simple

not a huge fan of either but if i had to choose i'd go with the second one. And Billy, Wheelmax sucks. They hardly ever have anything in their inventory, they are terrible with customer service, they give you the runaround on what fits and what they do or do not have. Me and a few others have some bad stories regarding that company, even to the extent of reporting them to the better business bureau by way of my credit card company.

There's already another thread about the rear conversion. I will be doing mine after I get my rear calipers powder coated. (among some parts for the other car too)
