New car? need help

I just bought this 01 2.4 L alero twin cam and wanted to know wat should i buy or do to that car to give it a tune up? it has 83,000 miles so i wanted to know what is the common maintenance i would need done i know the basics is oil change, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs but i wanted to know what else can i do and what brands you recommend or which oil ....if you can help i would really appreciate it:rolleyes2:

well, any fuel system cleaner works...and they work better with frequent use.

Seafoam is something that a LOT of professional places live by...but they won't say so. lol Save yourself a ton of money by running some seafoam yourself, instead of having some place do it. (When they do a tune-up, that's what they do. Just remember, a tune-up is different than tuning your car when you add parts.)

and since you have a 2.4L, post what kind of mileage you get on the highway. That number will also help us figure out how much stuff you need to get done. if you have a good number (28+ mpg) then you won't need much more than scheduled maintenance. Anything significantly less will require some real work.

yea i do wanna go fast but first i want to make sure everything runs good i was planning on puttin a cold air intake and some small mods, i just bought a decal on ebay the brake light one and im watiing for it but im taking it slow if u kno wat i mean...but thanks for the help guys
