Security Relearn?

Can anybody tell me what the security relearn is that everybody talks about when you install a new PCM? I am looking into putting either a MMS or Intense PCM in my car next. I am worried that being a "do it yourselfer", I wont be able to do this. How do i do the security relearn and will the car run without it? Thanks in advance for any help.

if u buy the dhp pcm it comes with instructions on how to do the relearn. takes about half an hour if u even need it.

Is the DHP as good as Intense or MMS? Im looking to get the most power for the least amount of money, considering im a broke college kid. I read about the DHP on pfyc.com and its saying about 6-8hp gain. I dont know about everybody else, but that doesnt seem like much of a gain to me. What do you guys think?

you can only gain so much hp from a stock motor. DHP is designed to be compatible with an intake and exhaust. if you have more than that all you have to do is cal them and ask for one tuned to your mods. i think everyone on here that has a tuned pcm is using a DHP product.

thats what i have, well worth the $99. I have no experience with intense or milzy so i cant comment, the security relearn is easy, follow the instructions and you will be fine my 14 year old sister could do it.
