Lower gasket...

Anyone ever had an oil leak from a gasket that appears to be just above the oil filter? I'm just trying to get a general idea how much it is to get it replaced ><.

If its from just above the oil filter it is probly going to be the head gasket. I cant say for sure but thats what it sounds like. Never had one blow out on my car but i did have to have the lower intake manifold gasket replaced. That job was about 9 hours labor and i had already bought the part, then my instructor told me what im was getting myself into and i took it to a shop. If you look closely it may actually be coming from the filter. I hope this was somewhat of a help. good luck
