wow brad there is no way your modified. your street stock......... the rules and interpertations for these classes can be kinda tricky though.

its not a huge deal what class your in because this is a fan judged show..... ie everyone entered in the carshow gets a sheet to vote for theyre favorite cars in each class.

Thanks - I'll have it there and you can take a look. It's in for a new hood now and I probably have to work the weekends between now and then.

a body kit or ground effects not stock is a body modification which throws one into modified.

the whole problem is the OCA rules has not been updated to fit our cars. being we havn't really competed in any of the nationals (except meand other stock aleros) and has caused the OCA to rewrite them so for the time being the rules kinda suck.

i have talked to the head judge and this is where i get my info on how things are classified for now.

the biggest part that sucks is the year break down which many oca members have been battling with the oca.

the more of us that come and if we keep coming back eventully they will have to change the rules.

so for the mean time the classification of a car will be bickered about.

its not a pissing contest at all scot. im just saying....... your mister stickler for the rules.......... AND YOUR CLEARLY FIT IN THE MODIFIED CATAGORY AS STATED IN THE OCA RULE BOOK...........

your telling me you dont have.......

3. lavish underhood chrome
4. major change in ride hight
5. cutsom paint EG. flames, GRAPHICS, iredescence
6. hood scoops (non original)
8. non-stock suspenion (except shocks)

and that fact that you have OSV parts on your car still makes it modified cause they wernet FACTORY parts.

look he can enter in whatever class he wants. point is is that what he is doing is what i did the first year i took my car to homecoming when it was only me scot and marc........ i was in stock with graphics and afew other dumb things and he gave me a hard time for being in the wrong class. scot is in the wrong class period but the judges at the OCA are to old to know that he is or CARE that he is period.

love ya scot

there are 2 kinds of car show people........ the ones that car about trophies and the ones who dont.

the ones who car are the ones who usually never suceeded at anything earlier on in life...... ie school/sports/LIFE.... haha....... they need an ego boost and dont understand what owning and modding your car is really all about....... and thats enjoying your car and meeting new people and making friends.

Winning a trophy would be really cool, and I would love to win one, but I gotta agree with Sweet.

I love the work that I've done to the car, and showing at the shows is really cool IMO. It shows the over 5 years of work I have into the car, since I cannot put every penny I earn toward my car.

I've been agreein with Sweet a lot lately, could this be a problem? :hide:
