Apparently i have a coolant leak because i have had to refill it a few times when my light goes on. Has anyone else had this problem? I am interested in knowing where it could be coming from and how much it may cost to fix.

^ Um... ...this could be the famous LIM leak!!

Do you have any "sludge-like" deposits around the LIM on the motor?

^Yes, LIM=Lower Intake Manifold...

I have not yet had this problem but do a search for LIM and there should be a bunch of posts pertaining with this problem! I will try and find it for you and post a link!

Check your coolant cap for oil sludge. Check your oil for coolant. Check the block, you'll see a stain around the gasket if it's leaking.

Here's a decent thread, even though the pics are gone: http://invision.aleromod.com/index.php?showtopic=4309&hl=

AWWW SHOOT. yea I had this problem when i had to keep refilling the coolant. Mine was leaking into the oil or the block itself... sumthin i cant remember it was bout 2 years ago and cant remeber the cost either but it (of course) will cost u more than a few pennies

I hope you have some friends that can help you out, Or Have some $$ saved up. I just had myne resealed. I have a friend that works at a dealership and he did it for 300.00 But I've heard people paying as much as 700.00 for it.

Good luck, maybe you will get lucky and it will be something else.

Im taking it in today to get it checked out because i had some steering work done on my car and one of the tires sounds like the strut isnt bolted on tight because its making a rattling sound over bumps. How long does it take to get done if it was the LIM?
