Somerset? That's only 30-40 minutes from my house (depending on where in Somerset) and less than that to Naich's.

Plenty to do in NJ, just depends on whether you're here over a weekend or not and what kinds of things you like to do.

We've got the Somerset Patriots & Newark Bears minor league baseball teams, over a dozen lighthouses, & the Camden (State) Aquarium. Rutgers University is in the next town over (New Brunswick) from Somerset. The NB bars near campus and the brew pub & comedy club downtown are usually pretty busy Thursdays through Saturdays. NYC is about 60-90 minutes away by car or train.

Let me and Naich know what days you'll be here and we'll see if we can hook up one night.

Somerset, the heart of Somerset county, one of the 10 richest counties in the country.

I know that becuase my girl lived in Hillsbough, which is in Somerset county between living with me and Long Island.

I could stop up, pending on the day, it's about an hour to 1.5 hours from me

I guess the only nights for you would be Monday and Tuesday then. Will have to defer to Naich about what are the best places in NB to hit those nights. Here's the website for NB: http://www.newbrunswick.com/

Harvest Moon is a great brewpub: http://www.harvestmoonbrewery.com
And Old Bay is a classic with an equally huge beer menu, good Cajun/Creole food, and almost nightly entertainment: http://www.oldbay.com/
Then, of course, there's Stuff Yer Face and the bars right by campus.

The Stress Factory looks like it's closed Mondays and Tuesdays: http://www.stressfactory.com. And it turns out the minor league seasons don't start until the end of April. I just checked the team pages out.

Not familiar with the strip clubs anymore. Haven't been to one since my buddy Liam's bachelor party 8 years ago. And don't ask me where that one is because I had a vanload of drunkards giving me directions from Hoboken after they all got soused at the bars there. It was by some small miracle that we somehow found the club but I had a female dog of a time trying to get us home after that as I was the 1 remaining sober person left after that place (yeah, I got picked as a designated driver that night - fun, fun).

Yeah its been awhile since I've been to one. The ones up here bite they all look dingy and diseased. I checked out those websites they look pretty good. I probably try out harvest moon first and go bar hoping after that.
