anyone have any noises coming from their heater vents ever? Kinda sounds like there may be some paper or leaves or something of the sort inside the vents. It stops when the fan is off, and gets louder as i turn it up. Where does the air that comes into the cabin come from? Is there anyway to get into the system to see if theres anything in there?

Mine also sounds like a bird chirping sometimes. It only seems to do it on the lower speeds and goes away on the higher speeds. Funny thing is, my wifes Suzuki Esteem does the same exact noise.

your blower motor is on it's way out but it might last a long time yet. I had a mustang do it for 2 years before I changed it.

Not completely true. Yes it could be but I had the same sounds and took out the dead bug and dried leaf (I am not saying what kind of dried leaf) and vents dont make the noise now. If its the blower motor, that sucks. 30 bux I think.

its done it a few times in the past 5 years, so i don't think its dying, there may just be something in there. So how did you get at the bud and the bug AGT, where does the air come into the car? Did you go backward thru the vents cuz it sounds like whateva is caught up inside there must be around the fan.

If you look under the passenger side dash (remove the black plastic cover) you will see a cylindrical shaped housing. 3-10mm(I think) hex-screws and let it drop; inside is the fan and probably your dead bud...I mean bug

Thats kind of what I thought it may be since mine and my wifes blower make the same noise. They both must have sucked in some leaves. I'll have to check that out.

My 2003 Alero chirps... took it to the dealership, they said it is normal, in the fan there is two brushes that rub together and the brisles cause the sound... they said they could not do anything but when i got car back it stop for a couple of months but came back. also the air comes from the passenger side of the car, under the glove box.

Mine isn't so much a chirping noise as a bad idle sound. About a week ago I was thinking I really needed a tune up, then I turned off the fan to hear it better and it went away.

ha, mine did the same thing for awhile then went away, sounded like someone had a playing card and stuck it on the fan.
