Ses At 125k?

My mother's '00 Alero's (2.4) SES light came on today. Solid on, not blinking. It's about to hit 125k, and I was curious if this is something built into GM's computer for a maintenance, or if something may be wrong. I'm taking it to Autozone in the morning for a scan, just thought I'd check here to see if it's happened to anybody before. Thanks for any help!

could be 1 of a million things bud as easy as not putting the gas cap back on tight. have them scan it and see whats up. they wont turn it off, cause it will correct itself and turn itself off.
