My engine is running close to 100k and im looking at going to the track alot more soon. Does anyone know if the 3800 v6 from the grandprix will fit into the alero. If it does what does it take to do it. Do i need the grand prix transmission or will the 3400 transmission work. Engine mounts? will i need to have some made?

Also does anyone know the site to get the harder engine mounts? I found them once and cant find them again.

Trans will not handle a 3800, it's pretty much maxed out with the 3400. 3800 is also a lot bigger, so you'd have to make everything to mount it. Then you'll need a new trans, pcm, etc, etc. Just buy a new car with the supercharged 3800 for all the money you'd spend on the conversion.

OK, it won't cost that much but it will be a pretty penny.

Details. You'll never get your money out of a conversion, a new car you could resell.
