I definitely want to repaint my interior... (new seats and carpetting while i'm at it.. but later) i just need some opinions on colors...

i want three. two main colors and an accent. i've talked to some people and everyone says silver goes best with red and black... but EVERYONE uses black and silver for their interior...

i 'shopped a pic of the original, w/ black, red and dark gray.

but i'm still not really sure how i feel about it.

also have my night shots in there..... just for a reference as to what colors i have for lights...

(pillar gauges can be red or blue, they change color)

lastly, i also can't decide as to what color i want to do my gauges with. red, or blue. if blue, i want red needles so they match my pillar gauges....

 too many decisions!

well... have at it....

a later mod might be changing the ashtray and bottle lights to red/blue changers, but for now they are just straight blue.

and the headunit stays blue, as with the biohazard sign....with no lights on at night its blue.. if the footlights are on its a blue/red mix.

[which doesn't mean purple.. its red w/ blue borders... led colors don't really mix too much...]

To be honest...painting the interior is a bad idea, in MY opinion. Almost every picture I see of even SEM paint looks bad. It may look decent in person, but at least from the pictures I have seen, it looks horrible. Uneven paint application, too glossy, unmatching color schemes, just horrible. Its worse when you paint the dash / console area and leave the carpet alone. IMO the best way to restyle an interior is with a dash kit, say carbon fiber. The one's I've seen (ie. oldmans - i think) look great, nice and clean. A little pricey, but worth it.

thats the problem with that. i don't like the carbon fiber look at all... and there aren't any dash kits that i've seen that i like....

I painted my entire interiour about 3 years ago and i love it, still do, its showing some wear and tear for use but has held up very very well the only place that its peeling off is on some of the hard plastic parts but when i painted it i didn't know much about it or painting so i didn't use any kind of adheasion promoter.

as for the uneven paint, i didn't really understand what you ment eag, if you ment matching the color i wanted they matched that perfectly, if you ment color variations throught out the paintjob i dont have any. and mind you i did this with a borowwed paint gun worth about 50 bucks and no knolage of painting at all, its what started my obcession.

as for color scheme i used black and red to match the exteriour, plan on new carpet and headlinger soon, and i like it alot, red, black and silver is also nice but mostly id have to say its your own personal preferance, you drive it, so id suggest doing what every color you like.

heres a pic of my interiour.

Thanks for the pics. setups like yours and justinusaf's wife's car.... i'll save the pic for reference. i'd love to do something similar, but won't want to butcher it. lol

Do you have any close up pics chucklez? I would like to see to maybe change my judgement.

my problem is with the rubber trim along the inside of the door. it's going to be tan, regardless. can't paint it. and you're headliner is still tan. you should change that too, while you're at it. i know what eag is saying. i'm thinking the cf kit for my ho.

Nice chucklz, Thats what i was goin for, but i ended up doin everything DARK silver, and then accenting some stuff neon green. Oh yea like the seats too.

Cherrington- I dont know if i like the shade of red you picked but the blk/slvr lookes good. Maybe you could do alot of blk/silver with accents of blue and red side-by-side 11
